I'd like to use X under Linux, but my Diamond Stealth SVGA card is
not supported by X386 or XS3. I need to get a new SVGA card, but
it needs to have the following criteria:
* About as fast the Diamond Stealth VRAM
* Must be VESA compliant (must have 15 pin "feature" adapter to connect
to my video capture board)
* must be capable of 1024x768 res, 256 colors, both interlaced & non-interlaced
* must have Microsoft Windows 3.1 drivers (of course)
* must work with a free X driver and Linux
I can't seem to find a board on the market that does all of this.
The ATI Graphics Ultra VLB is supposed to, but it's not available yet,
and will cost more than 3 times as much as the Diamond Stealth.
Is anyone using a fast, VESA compliant SVGA card with X and Linux?
