Subject: Still Can't get Lilo 8 to Compile (help?)
Date: 28 Jan 1993 01:33:07 GMT

Hi all,

After applying the various patches (lilo.8.patch-1, adding #include
"device.h" to map.c) to the LILO 0.8 source, I still can't get it to
compile properly. I get the following message:

cc -c -Wall -g `if [ -f /usr/include/linux/genhd.h ]; then echo
-DNEW_INCLUDES; fi` boot.c
In file included from boot.c:13:
/usr/include/linux/config.h:4: linux/autoconf.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [boot.o] Error 1

I am not a C programmer, but it is pretty obvious I need a file called
"autoconf.h". Where can I get this file? What part of SLS should have
had this file in it?

By the way, I am running the version of the SLS distribution that was a
sunsite last week.

Any help would be appreciated. Please mail me -- the news feed here has
been missing some messages the last little while.

ADV-thanks-ANCE
