Subject: gcc libraries faq?
Date: 28 Jan 1993 19:05:12 GMT

Please excuse the stupid question (I'm new to C, C++),
but how do I get gcc to link my programs with the standard
libraries? I'm using SLS, downloaded between 1/18 and 1/26.
I've read the man pages and the texinfo files and it sounds like
all I need to do is have the standard libraries in the standard
places and everything should work automatically, but it doesn't.
The programs I'm trying to compile compiled fine under djgpp, and
I've fixed the capitalizations.
I seem to remember this question being asked before.
Perhaps it should go into the FAQ.
