Subject: Can't get past floppy boot disk (install)

Hi,

I'm having trouble installing Linux on a SX-20 machine with a seagate IDE drive
and _only_ an EGA card..

I cannot get past the very first BOOT floppy...I have mixed results with, by
far the most common, being

'Unable to handle kernel paging request at address c0057704'

At which point all activity stops & the installation goes no further.

I suspect the video card, but have never experienced any trouble or
non-standardness with it previously..

What do I have to do to install Linux ?

I am rawriting MSDOS floppies as this is the only option I have..

Regards,

Scott.
