A while back someone posted a message looking for a non X11 based
.dvi file viewer, and, AFAIK nobody answered.

Do I take this to mean that the only way to avoid using X to look at
dvi files is to get hold of EmTeX for MeSsy-DOS and use it's dvi
previewers. Somebody tell me this ain't so. Please.

BTW, I know I could use something like dvi2tty, but, IMHO looking at
at TeX file in glorious monospacing tends to defeat the object.
