Subject: Linux vs 386bsd, wich to choose?
Date: 28 Jan 1993 12:38:52 GMT

Yes, I want a NIX-thing in my computer, so I'll ask here
wich should I choose! I have trie 386bsd for a while, but I have no
experience on Linux...

        My system :

ISA 386/40 + 387/40
8Mb RAM, (64kB cache)
Archive ???? 60MB tape drive. (DC2000 tapes, attached to floppy port)
Maxtor 7120A (130MB, AT-IDE)
Trident 8900C (Can get Tseng ET-4000, too)
Pro Audio Spectrum 16bit
Sony CD-ROM drive (connected to PAS, via SCSI(?) 8-bit)
+ I am buying another HD before installing Linux/386bsd... (100-200MB)

So, what I would like to know is WHY should I choose Linux,
and not 386bsd? Is there some way to get my CD-ROM to work with Linux?
What about the tape drive? Is the source code available on CD?

If there is somebody out there that could help me, please answer,
e-mail or to this news group...
