This should be in the FAQ. This is the 2'nd time today I have
responded to this question. And the answer is not in the FAQ.
One should: mkfs -c /dev/whatever howbig
The -c option tells mkfs to mark and hide any bad blocks. If you do
not have an IDE drive this should be mandatory. IDE drives mark bad
blocks automaticly and this is not required.
