I have just recently (last night) installed Linux 0.99 with X on my
486 but can't get the X server to connect I get an error of:

Cannot open mouse: No such file or directory

I also saw somewhere a reference to gcc lib 2.2.2, is it needed?
This is the first time I have installed unix onto a machine but I have
experience with using unix and doing some sysadmining.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
