I think this is covered by the docs:

In order to boot linux from HD under the OS/2 bootmanager, I understand I
have to

(1) *create* the linux partition with OS/2 fdisk.
(2) install the SLS package
(3) give " /etc/lilo/lilo -c -b /dev/hdax -v -v /Image
(4) add the linux partition to the bootmanager menu.

But now, when rebooting and telling the bootmanager to chose linux, it stops
the boot process with "partition is not formatted". Yes it is not formatted to
OS/2 but to linux it is. How do I get around this one? Should I have
*formatted* the linux partition in step (1) first, I mean under OS/2, in order
to lull the bootmanager? But then,
would not the installation of linux (step (2)) put the OS/2 bootmanager on alert
again?
