Hello, my name is Peter, and i'm a linux newbie :)
ok, now that that's out of the way, could someone help me with my problems:
1. i have a Logitech mouse (Trackman actually) and when running X, the
mouse sensitivity is WAY too high (i.e. it jump uncontrollably, unless i more
REAL slow) i've tried adjusting the BaudRate and SampleRate variables, but
that didn't have any effect. any ideas?
2. when i create a user using useradd:
# useradd -g users -d /home/user2 -s /bin/sh user2
it create a user, but it locks the password to something unknown thing.
when i try "passwd user2" and set the password my self, it works fine,
but the user can't change it, it said the password is locked, yet
"passwd -S user2" says status of user2 is "P". any ideas?
3. is there any way to change the softlanding phone # and other such info that pops up before "login:"?
thanks for your help, i'm sure i'll be back with more questions :)
-pete
