Subject: X - SCREEN BLANK, Ctrl-Alt-Tab no work, Ctrl-Alt-Del nowork.
Date: Wed, 13 Jan 1993 23:15:31 GMT

Hi. I have SLS 0.99pl1 and in an earlier post, I asked for opinions on
the use of a WD VGA chip. Thanks to Bruce, (jackson@cs.unt.edu), I used
"et3000" in mono mode and now the screen comes up with the mouse pointer.
I have a generic PS2 mouse, and I made a link of /dev/mouse to /dev/bmouseps2.

The first time I move the mouse, It scrolls up to top of screen and I can
move it erratically from right to left.

Whats worse, is that twm and xterms are not there.
Ctrl-Alt-BS and Ctrl-Alt-Del do not work. X seems to be dead.

I have read through all the FAQs I can stand, And I was hoping someone
would have a suggestion for me.

BTW: I only have one "mode" defined in Xconfig, the one that works.

Machine is a UNISYS 386/20sx, model 32601 8meg ram, 1542b SCSI.

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP
