Subject: problem with SLS 0.99, 'ps' and 'w' cmds complain 'bad offset 0xXXXXX'

  I got the SLS 0.99 stuff from tsx-11.mit.edu a week or so ago.

  Everytime I run the 'ps' or 'w' commands I get screwy output and
then an error message complaining about 'bad offset at 0x?????'.
(I'm on my machine at work, so I can't retrieve the exact value. Will
 get it if it's useful tho'.)

  Any ideas or suggestions about this?
