I got Linux working on my PC just fine, nevertheless there are some
very annoying problems left. My configuration (in case some problems
are connected): i486/33 Cache 256kB, RAM 8MB, HDD Western Digital
 200MB, Diamond Stealth, Soundblaster, NE2000.

1.) It seems to be impossible to get the german keyboard working
under X. I am using the X386 server and a patch to setup.S to run
 the Stealth under 1024x768x256.

2.) My newly compiled OLVWM stops after switching the screen to my
background color, issuing a "Floating Point Exception".

3.) The OLWM delivered with xview3 seems to have problems with screen
updating (curious lines in windows) and also doesn`t fire up correctly.
It stops somewhere before completing window headers. I can move the
window and size it, but no menu pops up on request...

4.) Xview 3 crashes (!) my X11 when loading a picture greater than
800x600. The machine just hangs and I need to reset in order to start
again.

5.) I am using kernel V0.99 and the command ps doesn`t work. It shows
the headline and then returns to the command prompt. Also my brother
told me this morning the memory-status-commands don`t work either.

6.) I`m gomma buy a new S3-card soon and I wondered, if somebody is
already using one of the following cards (with 86C928): Elsa, Actix 32,
the new Fahrenheit1280. Are there alternatives? Does anybody know, if
there is support for the TIGA cards under X?

I hope somebody can throw some new light on my problems. Thanks,

Chris
