   also have some crappy ethernet cards, and I need a driver for them. They
   aren't even 3c501's, they are 3c500's - those big blue monsters that shipped
   in '85.

   Next time someone asks me for a packet driver, I'm gonna say 'go get a real
   ndis driver', just so I can be a prick like you.

I'm sorry you feel that way. There is no way to write a 3c501 driver
with performance proportional to the speed of a 386. What you are
trying to do is the equivalent to running Linux of a 80ms 20Mb MFM
drive. Most people would probably think that unreasonable...
