Subject: Unreadable file causes kernel panic, why ???
Date: 7 Jan 1993 12:46:45 GMT

Hello,

Yesterday I wanted to remove a file "cc0103.i" from my "/tmp"-directory,
but every time I do a:

rm /tmp/cc0103.i

I got the message:

Kernel panic: Unable to read i-node block

I did a efsck -r /dev/hdb2 but it reported no errors in the file-system.
Then I moved /tmp to /tmp.bak, created a new /tmp and tried to remove
the whole /tmp.bak, but I had no success.

So, how is it possible to get rid of this one file?

Any idea would be very helpful.

Axel
