I have some Linux Questions . . .

First, let me thank those who made SLS possible. Without it, I would
surely die :-)

1) I'm having problems with tcp. I've set my system up ala the docs
provided. When I ping myself, everything works cool. When I ping others
on my network, I can't get 'em. I'm pinging by address, not name. Here's
the weird part. If I remove the tap on my ethernet card, pinging my system
from my system still shows no packet loss. What is happening?

2) Does anyone know where I can get the GNU news? I don't like the rnews
stuff in the Emacs, and I'm looking for the *REAL* news for emacs.

3) How about Smalltalk?

Danke.
