Subject: 0.99 patch 2 or GCC 2.3.3 problem?
Date: 5 Jan 1993 03:00:52 GMT

I recently patched my 0.99.1 source with the patch for level 2. I knew I
was probably headed for trouble when I got the infamous "previously applied
patch" message in the middle of patching. Anyway, I also recently installed
gcc 2.3.3. When I made the kernel, I got an error in unix.c -- wrong number
of arguments to one of the functions. Well, I examined the diff file and
my source file and discovered the problem and fixed it...I think. When I
recompiled, everything went great down to the final link, where I got a
undefined symbol _read_exec in fs.o. Now, is this a problem with my
linux source, or is it a problem with my gcc 2.3.3 installation. I am
using the i486 libraries and binaries, which I'm not entirely sure I
installed correctly.

Any help greatly appreciated.
