For HD partition tables COMPLETELY useless, with NO chance for salvage...

  fdisk /mbr

using MS-LOSS 5.0 "fdisk". The "/mbr" is for Master Boot Record. Of course,
the lilo documentation suggests doing a "dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/fd0 bs=512"
or something like that, to save your partition table. Hmm... I think I will
do mine today...
