I have a problem with the new gcc-2.3.3 stuff: several packages won't compile
anymore (e.g. plp) because of two missing functions: 'gethostbyname()' and
'getservbyname()'. ld claims about not finding these symbols.
Where are these functions gone?

Any hints would be appreciated.
