                    LINUX HARDWARE COMPATIBLITY LIST

VERSION: 0.1 DATE: 01 JAN 92

Welcome to the Linux Hardware Compatibility List. It is my hope that
this will be of help to people and that it will do away with a lot of the
will this work with my system questions. I also hope that this will help
people who want to buy a system to run Linux or are in the process of
upgradeing their system and want to make sure that the hardware they buy is
compatible with Linux (especially for item's such as SCSI controller's and
CD-ROM's).
Unlike my Linux BBS List this will only be posted to c.o.l. and c.o.l.a.,
this is to make it easier for me to post. Besides both c.o.l. and
c.o.l.a. are both gated to FidoNet. For now at least I will attempt to
post this list weekly, near the beginning of the week.
As this list is in it's infancy (conception is more like it), I need
LOTS of input. Both in the form of data for the List and suggestion's on
how to make improvement's. You can reach me by sending E-Mail to me at
healyzh@holonet.net .
If you are wondering about a specific piece of Hardware and you don't
find it in this list all I can say is I don't know at this time but as soon
as I find out it will be in the next list. If you find out that it work's
from some other source, i.e. a friend or trying it out, PLEASE let me know.

As you can see I need LOTS and LOTS of input to make this list work!
