Tom -- I am running an Archive Python DAT tape drive with Linux ver.
0.99pl4 with an Adaptec AHA-1540B SCSI I/F. Seems that the Linux
SCSI device detector will not detect the Python at bootup UNLESS a
cartridge is in the drive. I will drop a note to Eric Youngdale
regarding this. Other than for the noted anomaly, it works just fine
