From: jmp@login.qc.ca (Jean Marc Pigeon) Subject: Serial Setup with 0.99P5 Date: 24 Feb 1993 11:30:05 GMT
Bonjour a Tous,
First, my apologize :-}
In a previous posting I was suggesting for inittab
"/etc/gtty -h 19200H cua0", it's (obviously?) a
typing mistake, the device is "/dev/ttyS0"
About Linux and Taylor-uucp, I was complaining about
"strange behavior". I found how to bypass the problem.
1) My "chat" dialing sequences were stop in the middle of nowhere,
further analyse show, "broken" caractere returned by
the modem.
2) By adding '\d' in front of each "out-chat", the problem
vanish. I suppose UUCP is sending the next sequence
components too quickly (Sic?) for the serial driver. Did
other "netlander" meet such kind of problems?
A bientot
PS: I am using FAS for 2 years know (on SVR4), I strongly beleive
that we should use the same "scheme" for Linux (versus the
uugetty methode) :-}}.
