Hi,
Well, here we go... Just a few loose ends I wanted to get some
answers to:
1) PHIGS extension. I know that this is not in the default XFree
release. And that you have to recompile X with it. Now,
a) How hard is it to compile X, and what resources do you need?
b) Does it work? And how well?
2) OLIT. Is this available for the world (and thus Linux) or is it
just an internal Sun/USL thing you have to buy and we're stuck
with XView. Just curious cause indications show Sun moving more
towards OLIT, not XView.
3) 320x200x256. Does anyone have any VESA standard settings for an
X mode of this nature?
Thanks...
-Dan
BTW, can anyone recommend any "Oh Wow!" programs that run under X
that I can use to impress people with? xv, xviewgl, and cbzone just
isn't really cutting it anymore. :} Thanks...
Dan Newcombe
