Yes. It could. I don't want to go into the details. I can only say
libc 4.3 was forced to be released by XFree86 1.2 against my will.
XFree86 1.2 was made available before libc 4.3. Since XFree86 1.2
requires libc 4.3 to run, what else could I do?

pdksh is small (< 100k) and I am using it on my floppy rootdisk. So I have
to test it. I like zsh very much. It can do almost all bash can and much more.

There are a stuble bug somewhere in libc 4.3. Don't blame it on bash :-).
