Subject: [SOUND] Patching with the diff
Date: Tue, 23 Feb 1993 17:31:51 GMT

This may sound like an ignorant question, but I've never
installed a patch before, and I'
m having diffuculty installing the sound-driver patch that
came with snd-kit-1.0. First of all, the documentation makes
reference to a diff file for Linux99p5, but that it should work
with p4 (I'm using the latest SLS). The actual file seems to
correpond with Linux99p6. Is it still p4 compatible? In any case,
I do the following: "patch Linuxp6.diff" (Don't remember the exact
file name). At some point it prompts me for a filename. What
then? Now my sources and makefiles seem to be half-patched and
I can't recompile. Which tpz file(s) on the latest SLS distribution
contain kernel sources? And how do I successsfully install this patch?
