Subject: X8514 problems with 0.99.4, please help

Hey guys,
a few days ago I upgrated my system to 0.99.4. Till now I used
0.98.1 and all worked well. Now I had lot of problems to
rebuild the X8514 server (for my ATI Vantage). At least make was
successfull. But starting the server only blackens the tty's
and nothing goes any longer.
 
Is there anybody out there using a 0.99x, perhaps 0.99.4, kernel
with a 8514-card, i.e. ATI Vantage, ultra, pro ?
I would be very pleased about any help, as soon as possible.

If an 8514-server existsfor 0.99.4, would it be possible to put it on
an ftp-side or elsewhere, so that I can grab it?
