From: marc@r-node.pci.on.ca (Marc G Fournier) Subject: back at it...ftpd-diku doesn't work :(( Date: Sun, 21 Feb 1993 23:40:29 GMT
Hi...
Last night, I downloaded ftpd-diku so that i could make use of
its elaborate logging functions...as well as the ftpaccess file :)
Well...it doesn't work for me :( If I try and take the binary
that comes with the package, and change the /etc/inet/inetd.conf file
so that the ftpd flag is -a instead of -l (and restart the daemons),
as soon as I ftp into the machine, type my login and passwd (ftp, no
passwd), I get 'Server shutting down'
If I try and compile the thing, it dies on the first file. If
I get rid of those errors, it dies further down, but still dies. :(
I'm using 0.99pl5, SLS that came with 0.99pl2, no ethernet
card, just a loopback system...hmmmm...whichever gcc/libc that came
with SLS 0.99pl2 (libc.4.2, I think(?))
Any clues or hints on what to do to get this thing working
would be greatly appreciated...
Marc
