XS3 does work with Xfree86 1.2, sorta. See my posting in
comp.windows.x.i386-unix... I'm having problems with some clients producing
errors of the sort: 'Cannot convert xxxxx to type PixMap'. This is fatal for
some clients, such as xtetris, though the important stuff all works (xterm,
xbiff, xload, xclock and almost everything else I use).
