I also have the same problem! In my case, I have an ATI Graphics Ultra Plus
and for a strange reason, the mouse is supposed to be MicroSoft
compatible -- and is with DOS and OS/2 -- but Linux recognises it as a
Logitech mouse ONLY (even if I recompile the kermel and REMOVE the Logitech
definition, then the system finds NO MOUSE)!!!

As a Logitech Mouse, Xfree1.2 (and 1.1 and 1.0Y) have the same behavior as
you, only left and down movement (nice to see the mouse stuck in that bottom
left corner all the time)!!

Anybody can help here???
