I use a WD90c30 based card (which yours should be downwardly compatible with)
and can use Xfree succesfully in a resolution up to 900x600 using a 50MHz
clock, in 256 colours. Like yourself, I have had no luck in getting *anything*
at 1024x768. I always found that the card itself presented no problems, it was
getting the damn monitor settings right that gave me headaches.
