I have a WD90C31 and have similar problems, it seems that no one
has been able to track down the exact problem with the video
driver yet but a number of people have ideas. XFree86 1.2 (the
new version) will happily work properly with my machine at
1024x780 with the mono serevr without any problems. The colour
server is a complete joke at this resolution, the screen filled
with noise.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone has had any success with
the color server at high resolutions.
