I recently attempted to install Linux (SLS) on my 386DX, and found that it
freezes whilst trying to boot off the boot image disk (downloaded from
128.214.6.100).

I get the message "Loading.........(etc)... press spacebar to continue", and
once I press the spacebar the system halts.

I have also tried BSD386 and even purchased Minix, and have found that none
of them will boot on my system.

I doubt that it is the disk controller as I have replaced my ESDI with a
200Mb IDE drive/controller, and I have had the same problem with both...

Somehow I suspect it is my version of BIOS? I have checked the FAQ and have
not found the answer to my problem... :-(

My configuration is;

    80386DX
    4Mb RAM
    200Mb Maxor IDE drive
    CHIPS PEAK/DM BIOS Version 1.2.0 D1
    Trident SVGA (1Mb)

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
