Just use the /proc based ps package, available on tsx-11 in
/pub/linux/BETA/procps (if my patented Jon Magid human directory powers
serve me correctly).
Of course you'll have to mount the /proc filesystem:
mount -t proc /proc /proc
it's covered in the README.
