Subject: How to use X11 .so libraries
Date: Tue, 16 Feb 1993 11:25:54 GMT

I've compiled soveral X11 applications on my Linux box, but none of
them seem to want to use the libX11.so.* libraries. I've tried
adding them by had to the linker, but to no avail. Is there some way
in which to get normal off-the-shelf applications to use it or must
the application itself have support for shared libraries? I'm getting
quite fed up with these huge applications (and look forward to getting
may grubby paws on Xfree86 1.2)

Thanks for any pointers,
Andries
