My kernel (.99pl5) recognizes my wd8003 card but I can't use telnet,
ftp etc. I setup the /etc/hosts file, made sure rc.net was setting
up my ethernet port (basically that config was configuring eth0 with
the settings it was supplied with), then rebooted. Still no go.
It keeps saying "wd8003 timed out" or something like that. What more
do I have to do to telnet and ftp to another machine?
I might add that when I use my ethernet card from DOS with NCSA telnet,
it works just fine.
I finally got lpr to work with dvilj2p and with gs, but printing plain
ascii files still doesn't work. It will print them correctly if there
is a carriage-return (^M) at the end of each line. Otherwise it prints
first line, then the second line halfway across the page, the next line
further down, and so on. I am printing to a HP Laserjet IIP.
Thanks.
