Subject: Upgrading to Xfree86-1.2

I just looked through the README file with instructions for installing the
new distribution of XFree86-1.2. These instructions are fine for a first
time installation, but they do not shed any light on which parts would be
necessary for an upgrade. For example, do I need to download all the fonts
with the distribution, or can I stick with the ones in Xfree86-1.1? Are
there a few new fonts that I might want to download? What parts of the
distribution have changed since 1.1? I would like to upgrade, but I have
made customizations and added a few things under /usr/X386, so I can't just
obliterate my current /usr/X386 directory in favor of the new distribution,
and having TWO /usr/X386 trees (as suggested in the README) requires a lot
of extra disk space. While I might be able to handle this, with a fast
modem, free phone connection to the net, and a new hard drive, this
information will surely prove invaluable to people with less disk space,
2400 baud modems, and only long distance connections to the net. It could
be kept in the form of a README.upgrade file or something like that on the
ftp sites together with the distribution.

PS: I'm in favor of changing .tpz to a standard extension, too!
