Help, I'm a frustrated Linux newbie and I can't seem to get my DOS drive
mounted from the rootdisk. I have read the FAQ and followed it to the
letter and it keeps saying:

mount: file not found

or something to this extent. This is after trying

mount -t msdos [-o conv=text] /dev/hda1 /dos
mount -t msdos /dev/hda1 /dos
mount /dev/hda1 /dos -t msdos

and a whole slew of other things. I've already crashed the system a
billion times with things such as "cat /dev/hda1 > temp" and neat things
like this. Plus the JED editor was REALLY difficult to figure out ..
Emacs is just over my had.

I just got Linux on the weekend from an FTP sight, and I can't figure out
why the version I got from nic.funet.fi is 0.98 and not 0.99 either.. very
frustrating considering how long they took me to get.
