From: entropy@world.std.com (The Entropic one) Subject: Linux jobs may be available soon Date: Sun, 14 Feb 1993 17:25:12 GMT
A customer of mine may be in need of a number of people to setup a number
of sites around the country using Linux. I'd like to get an idea of how
many people would be available for short term assignments of setting up
a PC with Linux and the proper hardware configuration to run it.
If your interested reply, don't worry if you don't have a Resume yet. I'm
just trying to figure out if we need to start training people or if there
are enough Linux'rs already available.
BTW-
What do people think of a non profit Linux development organization that
could accept donations of hardware and money to be given to developers?
If such a thing was started I'd encourage my customers to send any
surplus PC hardware they might have. I'm sure there are alot of developers
in dire need of hardware, and alot of hardware sitting in closets unused.
P.S. I'd start it but I'm having trouble finding time to sleep & eat these
days %-|
