Subject: Trouble with xdm (help me!)

When I run using "startx" I have no problem, but when I run using "xdm"
many programs which wait for user input (within an xterm) do not function
correctly. For example, when I try to run "more" on a file, I just see the
first screen-full then it exits. After examining this problem, I have
determined that it is caused by the "min" field of the tty settings being
0. Typing "stty min 1" or "stty sane" seems to cure the problem.

My question is: Where can I do this within xdm (I don't want to have to do
an stty every time I open an xterm)? I have tried adding the stty in
various places with no success. Also, why should I even need to do this?
Does anyone else have this problem? Perhaps I have something set up
incorrectly. Anyway, I am running Linux version 0.99pl4 (but the problem
was also present under Linux 0.98pl4).

Anyone with ideas please let me know.
