After having trouble with applying the new patch to the old kernel sourcefiles
(which had the serial patches in pub/linux/ALPHA/serial applied to them),
I downloaded the entire source for the new kernel and recompiled. No more
problems there.
My problems are now with networking and with lpr. I read the networking faq
in /etc/inet/lxnet.faq and also in the standard linux faq4 but they talk
about some sort of install script which I don't see in /etc/inet. What
(step by step) do I have to do to get the networking going?
Also, I have not been able to get lpr to print properly on my HP LaserjetIIP.
Again, what is the exact setup procedure for lpr?
Any help in these two areas will be highly appreciated.
