Hi,
I read the ``Getting more performance out of X'' FAQ and it suggests
replace xterm with something less resource consuming.
The two suggestions were the Xvt (export.lcs.mit.edu:/contrib/xvt-1.0.tar.Z)
and mterm (larry.mcrcim.mcgill.edu:/X/mterm.src/mterm.
I got the Xvt but I am just learning C at the moment and I dont thing I
could modify the Makefile myself (it is a SUN something makefile and it
didnt compile as it was; said undefined malloc_t and some other things..).
Has anybody done it already and if so could he send me the Makefile?
BTW if it is as less hungry as they state for SUNS it could be the solution
for the poor ones (like me...) with less than 8MB of RAM.
Thanks in advance,
Vassilis.
