I used X.EXE (which is a lighter version of q-edit called x-edit) in the
x-window-version of the dos-emulator.
...after all it is just kind of a joke to run a dos-emulator on a unix-system

That is because you have learned to efficiently use q.exe - but I would
recommend working through the emacs-tutorial and on another day try
the infomode-information - once you learned how to use emacs, you will
not want to use q.exe anymore because of the enormous possibilites you
gain...

But this might end in a religious war which is not my intend :-)
