Subject: IP-driver for D-Link?
Date: 10 Feb 1993 23:54:25 GMT

I did not find any relevant information in any FAQ, so here it goes...

Has anyone created an IP-driver for Linux for the D-Link pocket adapter?

I am currently enjoying the SLS release of Linux 0.99p5
on a 386 laptop with no space for an internal Ethernet card.

While running FTP's PCTCP under MS-DOS (shudder...:-), I use a Crynwr
packet-driver with a D-Link pocket adapter on the parallel port.

The (GNU-ish) Crynwr .asm sources were included in my copy of PCTCP v2.11,
and I could perhaps try to modify/convert the sources myself,
perhaps by mangling the linux tcp/we* kernel source.
But just in case anyone has done something about it already,
I could use the time for even more rewarding (Linux) activities...

Answers by email (if any) will be summarized in a later post.
