From: davisar@memstvx1.memst.edu Subject: Future Domains SCSI's in Linux: Rate them? Date: 9 Feb 1993 15:56:59 -0600
I am just about to purchase an Infinity 88mb removeable drive.
My understanding is that it has a Future Domain 1650 SCSI adapter.
[Could be 1670]. I know from the FAQ that these are supported for
Linux. I gather from reading these proceedings that Adaptec 1542x
is preferred. Unfortunately for me, my computer cannot fit the
Adaptec into it's case-- I have about a 1/4--1/2 inch overhang.
[I don't know what size the Future Domain is; these things are
impossible to find out until you get the adapter in hand; sales
people and technicians (without rulers) can only say it's standard].
In any case [no just my Toshiba 5200 case] will anybody out here in
LINUSLAND please provide there two cents on the Future Domain under
Linux. [SLS99p4] //davisar@msuvx1.memst.edu// //bee-eye//
