Subject: Interesting elm mail problem.

I had a problem with mail that bothered me a great deal until just
recently. Using elm on the default SLS distribution (Jan 18th), caused
some problems with delivery if the recepient did not have a name
in the name field of the /etc/passwd line.

I created an account, and then tried repeatedly to get elm to send
mail to root. However, if root has no name field "::", elm can't figure
out what to do, and fails to even try to send mail. I just recently
manually edited the /etc/passwd file to include a user name for root,
and now things work fine.

Strange.
