IMO, Linux edges out 386BSD, if for no other reason that the kernel is simpler
to understand and it has shared libraries. Also, new features and bug fixes
tend to propogate faster.
If you really need BSD compatibility for some reason (like you're more familiar
with BSD or SunOS) and you have a bigger HD, then by all means...
