I don't know if the X-Server has a memory leak, but always, if it
needs more memory, it will grow, and it is not possible to get smaller
again. It could reuse its memory, but could not get smaller.
Try to set the Server restart flag in the xdm setup. This will restart
the X Server every time you log out.
