I've tried these new serial patches which give /dev/cua?? (call-out) en
/dev/ttys?? (dial-in) lines.
Calling out works OK. Dialing in however doesn't.
I use the init and getty from poeigl1.8a. I do not use getty's special -m
flag for modem speed detection.
/etc/inittab:
ttys1:console:/etc/getty 19200 ttys1
Modem settings: atq1s0=2 (no messages, answer after 2 rings).
After the modem has answered the phone I can type my login name. But
immediately after this the modem hangs up (no Password: prompt).
Does anybody have a working combination of init/getty/login? Please report
which versions and where to get them. Also report your modem settings?
