Subject: Problem with SLS "menu" (Viewing installed packages)
Date: Sun, 7 Feb 1993 00:47:42 GMT

After upgrading to the most recent SLS version, I'm having a problem
with the "menu" view installed packages function.

When I attempt to use that function, menu croaks with the error:
": unknown error"
and leaves me unable to see what I type.

Thinking I had a bad copy of the program, I re-downloaded and installed
my entire "a" series of disks. That program is in "menus.tpz", right?
Anyway, that didn't help.

I checked, and the files in /install that list which files belong to a
package all seem to be there and readable.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks,

Scott

ps. this may be an FAQ, but how can I manually unpack a *.tpz sls package.
gzip by itself doesn't seem to do the trick.
