It seems that I can't get my 1742 to work in enhanced mode.
When I am in standard mode with the irq, interrupt and the DMA
channels set, it works fine (which linux doesn't support the 1542
emulation mode anymore)
And when I am in the enhanced mode with IRQ, interrupt and DMA disabled
the machine reboots and takes a long time after the prompt
Adaptec 1740 Version 1.34
[Enhanced Mode]
Then it will say
Error initializing host adapter.
But I never get this problem when I try to run this card with Standard mode.
What do I do to get it to run in enhanced mode properly?
